The Italian giants are in danger of losing to Juventus in the quarter-finals of their competition as the Nerazzurri face off against Napoli on Tuesday night.
With just four points from three games, the Giallorossi have failed to score in their last five outings, and are looking for a fourth consecutive win against the Italian champions.
But it is the Bianconeri’s performance against Juventus last time out that will be remembered for their comeback to glory against Juventus in Rome in 2011, when they were eliminated from the competition.
Napoli were also eliminated from Serie A earlier in the year, while the last time Juventus faced Napoli was in April.
However, the home side have the edge on the tie as Napoli have a game in hand.
The Italian giants have won their last three Serie A matches, losing only once, against Roma in the last four months.
The draw was made after a meeting between the pair, with the two clubs’ coaches meeting for the last 30 minutes.
It is expected that in this encounter the two sides will be able to settle on their starting XI.
The winner of the match will face either Milan or Lazio, while in the other tie, Juventus will face AC Milan.
The Nerazzurs are expected to be without their injured defender Giacomo Bonaventura, with Massimiliano Allegri hoping the former AC Milan man will be fit enough to play against Napolis.
